Leading hairdressers provide support to people living with Psoriasis

Iconic Christchurch hair salon Ginger Meggs has partnered with Psoriasis Association Southland to help educate New Zealanders about living with psoriasis.

To help New Zealanders living with psoriasis have better access to information and support, Ginger Meggs has displayed psoriasis education booklets throughout its two Christchurch salons, as well as its Auckland and Queenstown salons.

Patricia Officer Young, President of Psoriasis Association Southland says, “I am delighted to be aligned with such a caring hair salon and appreciate every effort they are making to help educate and support those New Zealanders living with psoriasis.”

“Experiencing psoriasis on your scalp and in your hair is a very common thing for people with the condition. So it was a natural fit for us to approach hair salons to help us distribute these booklets and raise awareness and support for the condition in the broader community.”

All Ginger Meggs stylists are aware that going to the hairdressers can be a daunting experience for some people with psoriasis and are dedicated to ensuring all customers feel relaxed and well taken care of.
